Cancer CenterRadiation Oncology
Thanks to new, early detection methods and major gains in technology and treatments, today, cancer is often a treatable disease.  At the St. Vincent Regional Cancer Center , we approach cancer with more than one technique or therapy…often with a combination. High-energy x-ray beams bombard and destroy malignant cells. Radiation implants (brachytherapy) deliver high doses of radiation directly to the disease. Chemotherapy attacks cancer throughout the body. Surgeons heal with technology and their skills. Plus, pastoral care and patient education stimulate the mind and spirit to rise as a powerful weapon against cancer.  The results? More and more patients with cancer are becoming survivors.

Radiation Oncology
The Radiation Oncology Department at the St. Vincent Regional Cancer Center is a leader in treating many forms of cancer. We have state-of-the-art radiation therapy equipment and computerized treatment planning systems, including Trilogy™, the world’s most powerful and precise cancer treatment technology.  But most important, we’re group a of highly qualified professionals with diverse skills who can work in concert.  We’re radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, radiation therapists, registered nurses and radiation physicists. And we’re all working toward one common goal: To provide our cancer patients with state-of-the-art therapy in a caring, compassionate environment.
