An eight-bed Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on the hospital’s fourth floor is equipped for both child and adult patients. Board-certified pediatric critical care specialists are available around-the-clock to assist in caring for children in all of St. Vincent Hospital's intensive care units, including the Neuroscience ICU. Operating for 25 years, St. Vincent Hospital's Neuro ICU is the longest established Neuroscience ICU in Wisconsin. Its nursing staff holds advanced training and certifications in neuroscience trauma care, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
