The St. Vincent Regional Emergency Center also
provides many educational programs for the community, including:
Emergency Nurses Care (ENCARE)
Team of emergency professionals educates young
people about the dangers of drinking and driving and encourages seat
belt and helmet use.
Think First
Using your mind to protect your body
- A
national brain and spinal cord injury prevention program for young
people presented by a team of healthcare professionals from St.
Vincent Hospital
- Focuses
on the potentially devastating consequences of risky
behavior, such as not wearing a helmet, diving into unfamiliar
waters,
drinking and driving or riding in a vehicle without wearing a
seat belt.

The Regional Emergency Center is committed
to providing outreach educational opportunities to other health
professionals, including Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC), Emergency
Nurse Pediatric Certification (ENPC), Pediatric Advanced Life Support
(PALS) and the Annual Trauma Conference.
