ENCARE
Emergency Nurses Care
Emergency Nurses, Inc. offers the Dare to Care program. It is an
alcohol awareness slide presentation that has been developed by
emergency personnel. In Northeastern Wisconsin, the EnCare Program
is presented by emergency center personnel from St. Vincent Hospital
who volunteer to share the program's information, their expertise
and their experiences with victims of drinking/driving accidents
with their audiences. As trained, medical professionals who work
daily with the tragic consequences of underage alcohol use and drinking
and driving, the presenters feel a special responsibility to educate
the public about:
- The
effects of alcohol and how it can cause crashes by impairing judgment
and driving abilities.
- The
dangers of not wearing seat belts.
