Services
24-hour availability of ER/Trauma services. Verified as a Level
II Trauma Center by
the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma.
- Board
certified, residency trained emergency medicine physicians
- A
highly trained nursing staff. Nurses have certifications in Advanced
Cardiac LifeSupport, Trauma Nurse Core Certification and Emergency
Nurse Pediatric
Certification. Many also are certified in Pediatric Advanced Life
Support and have Certification in Emergency Nursing.
- Immediate
availability and activation of trauma surgeons
- Transport
of critical patients by way of EAGLE III air or ground transportation
- Expert
care for critically injured trauma victims
- Case
management of all trauma inpatients
- Quality
improvement and trauma registry maintained by a trauma team
- Advanced
diagnostic services, including CT scan, MRI, nuclear medicine
and sonography, angiography, EEG and EMG
Access
to advanced cardiac technology for definitive care
Staff trained in administering thrombolytic therapies -- current
