Since 1983, St. Vincent hospital has been helping patients with
virtually every type of disability regain the highest level of
functioning possible. The CARF accredited Regional Rehabilitation
Center offers a complete range of rehabilitation services for people
living in northeastern Wisconsin and Michigans Upper Peninsula.
Patients needing rehabilitation due to catastrophic injury or illness,
such as stroke, brain tumor, spinal cord injury or multiple trauma,
are cared for by a multidisciplinary team of rehabilitation specialists.
Our psychiatrists, neuro-psychologist, therapists, nurses, social
workers and case managers have an excellent track record for helping
patients either return to their normal lifestyle or reach their
highest possible level of independence. Outpatient rehabilitation
services are provided for patients with acute or chronic musculoskeletal
problems resulting from neurological disorders or injury.

Inpatient Rehabilitation Services Stroke
inpatient rehabilitation is an option for people after they suffer
a stroke. The rehabilitation unit provides patients
with daily treatments by specially trained physicians, nursing,
physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and therapeutic
recreation. All other ancillary services within the hospital
are also available to patients. The St. Vincent inpatient
rehab unit has been CARF certified since 1986. St. Vincent’s
rehabilitation unit has 22 years of experience working with stroke
patients and offer excellent recovery outcomes. 77% of our
patients are able to return to a home environment, this exceeds
the national average. Patients are able to enjoy a much higher
quality of life with our aggressive inpatient treatment. Patients
receive 3-5 hours of therapy daily based on patient needs.

St. Vincent’s staff of professionally trained nurses and
therapists has been treating stroke patients for 22 years. St.
Vincent’s inpatient rehabilitation unit has been CARF certified
since 1986. Stroke patients improve functionally during their
inpatient rehab stay. Functional gain outcomes exceed regional
and national levels. After inpatient rehab, 77% of our stroke
patients return to a home environment. This exceeds the national

Regional Perinatal Center
The Newborn Intensive Care
Unit provides monitoring of premature infants for
intraventricular hemorrhages.
Various Outpatient Specialty Clinics provide physician consultation
and appointments for ongoing care and support of patients with spina-
bifida and other neurological diseases.
Sleep Disorders Center
Provides monitoring, diagnosis and treatment of obstructive and central
sleep apnea.
