During October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Prevea Health and its hospital partners want to remind everyone about the importance of breast health and breast screenings.

Electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) have been the most commonly used tobacco product among U.S. youth since 2014, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). In 2018, CDC and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) data showed that more than 3.6 million youth, including 1 in 5 high school students and 1 in 20 middle school students, were past-month e-cigarette users.

HSHS St. Vincent Children’s Hospital is pleased to announce it will open a new, state-of-the-art pediatric emergency center in early October.

David Lally, Director of Business Development & Advocacy for HSHS St. Vincent, St. Mary’s, St. Nicholas and St. Clare hospitals, is a recipient of the American Hospital Association’s 2019 Grassroots Champion award.  

Fall fashion will take center stage during the 32nd annual Fashions from the Heart dinner and fashion show on Tuesday, Oct. 8, at the Radisson Hotel & Conference Center in Green Bay.

The National Cancer Institute (NCI), part of the National Institutes of Health (NHI), has awarded the Cancer Research of Wisconsin and Northern Michigan (CROWN) Consortium a $5 million grant to provide patients in Wisconsin and Northern Michigan access to more leading-edge clinical trials over the next six years.

With summer in full swing and high temperatures in the forecast, HSHS St. Vincent, St. Mary’s, St. Nicholas and St. Clare hospitals encourage everyone across Northeast Wisconsin to be familiar with the signs and symptoms of heatstroke, as well as the steps that can be taken to avoid heatstroke.
 

In the month around the July 4th holiday, approximately 280 people in the U.S. go to emergency rooms every day with fireworks-related injuries, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. Though fireworks can be exciting, festive and fun - they can also be very dangerous.

HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center in Green Bay is pleased to announce it is now home to Northeast Wisconsin’s first breast milk dispensary, in partnership with Mothers’ Milk Bank of the Western Great Lakes.
