Libertas is committed to restoring the lives of anyone impacted by substance use. During the past several years, more than 75 percent of our inpatient adolescents completed the treatment program, creating a personal legacy of hope and healing.

We continue to strive for excellence to ensure treatment provided at Libertas exceeds the expectations of our guests. To ensure quality service, patients and parents are surveyed 6 and 12 months after completing the inpatient program. Of those who respond, approximately 65 percent consider life to be more hopeful after completing treatment.

We have made it a priority to improve Libertas facilities and programming for adults and adolescents throughout Northeast Wisconsin and the Lakeshore. 2016 marked

a year of opportunity and change to offer new services and partnerships, allowing us to better service our communities and offer hope to those battling the disease of addiction.

Holistic Care and Programs

Libertas’s substance use recovery program focuses on the whole person – treating the body, mind and soul. Holistic healing requires all elements of a person to be in tune with his or herrecovery. We understand the physical, emotional, developmental, familial, psychological, social, cultural and spiritual factors that impact recovery, and we customize treatment by addressing all these influences.

Our treatment program incorporates substance use and mental health assessment with medical oversight, as well as:

  • Individual substance abuse and mental health assessment

  • Experiential therapies

  • Art therapy

  • Peer group experiences focusing on relapse prevention and life skills

  • Substance use education

  • Components of a 12-step program focused on learning the skills needed to start the recovery process

The mental health assessment also includes a comprehensive psychological evaluation. Both of these components allow Libertas to work with each patient to thoroughly review all substance abuse and mental health concerns in order to create an individualized treatment plan based on patient care needs and life goals.
